To all the foodies around, Amsterdam has quite the interesting dining experiences to keep you entertained for days. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, then you have to try a few places that are sure to leave an impression on you. Being silly and eating should go hand in hand. At Supperclub there are absolutely no rules. It’s an innovative dining concept whose legend has spread far and wide. You will sit on a giant bed all while enjoying a lovely 4-course meal and live performers that will transport you to bizarre and exotic places. Every night there will be a different theme, so just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Those environmentalists out there will love Restaurant de Kas. It’s basically a giant greenhouse where you will eat the produce grown there. They serve fresh, seasonal produce. The menus are picked daily depending on what’s picked out of the garden that same day. The building that it’s in is from the 1920’s, and was always a greenhouse. It definitely retains its lovely charm as well as creating a super stylish place to wine and dine in.
If you aren’t afraid of heights or water, check out REM Eiland. It’s a sea rig in the harbor of Amsterdam where you can dine 22 meters above water in a former pirate radio station. It was named after the REM law which shut down the station in 1964. It’s pretty unique and cozy up there. You can enjoy a 3-course meal on the roof terrace. It’s absolutely beautiful. For those of you fearless travelers, be sure to check out Ctaste. You will be eating in total darkness, so be prepared to not see a single thing during the whole meal. By eliminating one sense, all of your other senses will be heightened, and you can appreciate the food more. The staff will be able to see, so all you have to do is sit and enjoy your surprise dishes. There are plenty of normal restaurants to choose from in the lovely Amsterdam, but why not try a new and intriguing dining experience that is truly unforgettable.
