Start at the British Museum and explore its extensive collection spans 6000 years of human history, featuring items from every corner of the world. Our guides will take a serious but enjoyable approach towards the museum’s galleries, discussing primitive tribes and forgotten empires through a carefully curated selection of exhibits. Discover Samurai armor and centuries’ old Assyrian lion hunt reliefs. You’ll learn about the Mummy of Katebet, the Lewis Chessmen, and the Rosetta Stone – the actual rock, not the language learning software. Leave the tour with an understanding of what we humans have achieved during our short history and be proud to call yourself a part of this incredible species.
After a break for lunch, the discoveries continue in London’s streets. Learn about Chaucer at Westminster Abbey and bump into the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street. This small group tour will pass through the lush green parks, bustling crowds, and manicured squares that make up this fascinating urban landscape. Discuss Big Ben at the House of Parliament and pass through the famed Trafalgar Square. Our guides will share stories about monarchs and leaders, like Queen Elizabeth II and Winston Churchill, while also taking advantage of your local guide, who will be more than willing to share their favorite addresses as you explore together. And yes, they can even tell you where to go for a pint and some fish and chips – there’s some history to learn there as well!

We took a The British Museum and The Westminster Royal Tour of London Private Guided Tour a long time ago and forgot to review it. It was a very pleasant experience where we got the chance to explore the city center and get to see the main art works stolen by the British during centuries of war and power! Very exciting tour.
My wife and I visited London for the first time and booked Babylon's Historical Walking Tour and Private British Museum tour. Our tour guide, Jake, met us right on time and proceeded to take us on a wonderful tour of the British Museum. You could spend many hours or even days at a place like the British Museum so that is why it was such a pleasure to have someone like Jake take us through and show us the highlights. Jake is charming and a wealth of information. We then proceeded with a walking tour of many of central London's highlights including Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, and Westminster Abbey. Throughout the tour Jake provided great history and his passion for his work is quite evident. Be warned this walking tour is exactly that. We did a lot of walking. We were fine, but if you have elders or others who cannot walk very long, this may be an issue. This was our first tour with Babylon but I would not hesitate to recommended to them (and Jake).
